K3NG CW Keyer w.i.p.

Current project: building the K3NG CW keyer with PS2 keyboard, paddle and CW decoder display.

As you can see it's a work in progress but getting there!

Connected to my old workhorse FT902DM receiving this evening a two-way QSO on 40m decoding live.

Click the pictures for video with audio.

Settings in case they help anyone: tune the signal in as best you can, volume approx 30%, mode USB (yes, on 40m not CW or LSB) Reject/Width processor switched in and adjusted so only the QSO heard and green "activity" light activating. See the video.

Update:

Finally I interfaced it to the KEY and PTT on the FT902DM and ... it works! It's an absolute mess of wires but it works. I now need a case for it and to make it stable and strong.

So the device will support switching between two rigs by command options. Will maybe add a fourth Memory button so at the press of a button I can send:
CQ CQ CQ DE M0FVD CQ
NAME IS MEEKO
QTH MANCHESTER UK

Need also to try making a basic paddle... but I'm getting there. Plan is to have it completed and ready to take on holiday with us in September with FT847.

Update:

It's now completed in a case. Used the push button of the rotary encoder as the Command Button and now have 4 function buttons. Added PLS REPEAT?.
